Dear beautiful wonderful amazing reader of this writing. Yes. You. So I don’t know all of you. Have not seen most of you in person in a bit of a while. Yet you know what? You are amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Don’t believe me? Ask a few others that you know and I bet you will get some great corroborating evidence. Wonder out loud or in writing why they consider you amazing.

Ok there may be some people you would not ask. Maybe a lot. Do their opinions matter? No.

Do the opinions of the ones that know how great you are matter?
No.

Then why care? The caring is simply to connect you with other human beings. To remind you that you are not alone. That yes there are beautiful souls out there whether 1, 2 or more that have your back, that care and will be there if you need.

Some are with you a lot. Quantity of time plus quality of time. How wonderful to have that situation. Some are not with you a lot. Yet does this diminish in any way their care, love and support? Not at all. Quality comes in many different ways.

Now flip the enquiry. Instead of considering those who see you as amazing, ask who do you see as amazing? Why? What is it about these people in your life, whether close or afar, frequently in touch or infrequent, that makes them amazing to you?

You have some answers now about two groups of people:

  • People that see you as amazing and why.

  • People that you see as amazing and why.

Now the questions for your contemplation.

  1. How do the people in group 1 overlap with the people in group 2?

  2. What is it about the shared overlap that you nurture and leverage both ways?

  3. Is there more of one group and less of the other? If so why?

  4. How can you include yourself in the people who see you as amazing?

  5. How can you help those you see as amazing see themselves in that way too?

From this contemplation identify two actions you can take – one for you and one for another.

And one last thing to do…keep being the amazing absolutely wonderful person that you truly are whether others see or not. It is your gift to the world. You.
